I am passionate about leadership that builds, achieves and enables. I am also passionate about technology and the role that it can play in improving the way we live and work. I have been able to work in the technology space, grow and see success. I'd like to create the space for leaders to share their wisdom and for other leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs to receive that wisdom. We'll be interviewing CEOs, Executives and Experts that are leading in their field.

(Technology) Research, Innovation and Strategy

One of the things I have come to be passionate about is creating new knowledge that can help improve practice. Whether this is research done by Inno Yolo in the areas of responsible and accountable artificial intelligence for publishing or done on behalf of an organisation to enable business decisions, strategy development or innovation, it's imperative that more organisations engage in evidence-based decision making and research - and data -powered strategy development.

Healthy-at-Work and Entrepreneurs' Corner

Building a career can be an exciting and fulfilling endeavor. Whether one is an entrepreneur or building a career in the corporate world relevant advice, methods and access to opportunities can help accelerate your path. We'd like to share tips and opportunities in both spaces. 

At the same time, we recognise that in our careers, we'll need more than opportunities and "go-and-get-yours" tips. We will all - at some point or multiple junctures - face challenges in the world place, e.g. navigating a toxic work environment. We plan to speak to such challenges as well.

A more global perspective

The purpose of the conversations is to inspire, guide and support current and upcoming leaders - especially in technology, with a non-exclusionary bias towards women - as they navigate their careers. I'll interview an inspirational leader once a month and the conversations will cover (as applicable):
  1. Life and leadership journeys and insights;
  2. New Technology (e.g. AI, Blockchain, NFTs etc.), Digital and Fourth Industrial Revolution etc. - focusing on strategic, operational, social and practical implications;
  3. Entrepreneurship & start-up insights; and
  4. Skills, learning and career advice. 

The initial series was more South Africa focused, while the new series will seek out great leaders wherever they may be making their impact. South Africa is my home, so South African leaders will have a central place in the series, but we won't limit the inspiration and lessons that we will share. 

Here's a sense of the leaders & entrepreneurs we interviewed for previous conversations. 

Back by popular demand and now more global: The Leadership, Tech and Career Conversation Series will kicked-off on 01 February 2024. 

A while back I had the privilege and honor of interviewing some of the most amazing people in leadership including Yolanda Cuba CA(SA), Nosizwe Dlengezele- Senyakoe, Molebogeng Zulu, Kume L., Tim Akinnusi, Hannah Subayi Kamuanga, Dr Jabu Mtsweni, Setjhaba Molloyi and Bongumusa Makhathini amongst others.

We wanted to get to know: 
  1. them; 
  2. their career and life journey; 
  3. their views on leadership and career progression; 
  4. their stance and actions in relation to digital transformation and the fourth industrial revolution; and
  5. their views as well their actions around transformation and equity. 

Through Q&A, we also wanted to give the webinar audience an opportunity to engage with these leaders in a manner that one is not typically afforded in every day working life. 

The need for hearing from diverse voices, showcase leaders from a diversity of backgrounds and tap into the wealth of wisdom that is out there has not diminished.
